New Life

I recently had the honor of attending the baptism of one of our regulars at The Ministry Center. Amy has been coming into our facility since April of last year. We have watched her life ‘s struggles and come alongside her giving support, prayer, and Christian guidance.

When asked why she made her decision for baptism Amy told me, “I got off track and hit rock bottom. I stopped putting my faith and trust in God and put it in myself. It is time to be in the light! The dark is cold, ugly, and evil and I am ready to put my faith in God and let him lead me.”

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” We give glory to God for working in her life and have truly seen her change. We give thanks to Him and are happy to report that shortly after her baptism she started a job and received the long-awaited call for housing!

Amy has been watching all our volunteers and says, “To be a person on the street and see everyone helping has made an impact on my life. I don’t know everyone involved, but I see everyone doing their part and I am ready to give back.”

Amy is just one of the lives being impacted by the ministry happening at our facility. We have been asked numerous times by clients when we will have church services. To answer that call, we created a subcommittee, led by Jim Greenway, to discuss the details and are happy to announce we will have our first service on Sunday, April 7 at 11:00 a.m.

Please join us in prayer as we answer God’s call to bring worship and teaching to our facility. If you would like to know more or be a part of this ministry, please reach out to
